Darlene’s Awakening is about the growth and transformation of a Young-adult African-American female who began her transformation in the mid-fifties in a USA town. Unexpected experiences forced her to move beyond the obvious community conformity and delve deeper into first-time revelations. Her journey explores racial invisibility, sexual inequality, self-awareness, forgiveness and love. Thought provoking scenarios provide a platform that encourages objectivity and introspection. We separate ourselves based on ideas, and philosophies that override the basic understanding of Oneness. Subjective acceptance of fear creates the role of a victim which negates one’s authenticity. Being authentic is necessary on the path to joy, peace, growth and Awakening.
